The Sensitive Soul

They see wildflowers where others see weeds,

and they don’t simply pass them by, they take time to talk to the trees.

They love to stand barefoot, especially in the grass,

looking up in wide-eyed wonder, as though each sky might be their last.

Every morning they greet the sun, and each evening they whisper goodnight to the moon.

They know they belong to something far greater, and this precious life will be over too soon.

They are no stranger to the darkness, but still they choose to see the light.

That spark they carry within them continues to shine so very bright.

They feel the sorrow and chaos, of a world that rarely stands still.

But they choose to live with intention, allowing their heart to guide their will.

Nature feels more like home to them, than the high energy of a busy city.

Their nervous system softens in the presence of quiet tranquillity.

Some say they are far too sensitive, as though tenderness is something to hide.

But they discovered their heart is never too much, it is simply vast enough to hold the whole world inside.

They no longer return to the places, where they never feel truly seen.

And they quietly let go of the people that mistook their softness for naivety.

They made the brave decision to finally put themselves first.

They took the time to heal and discovered that self-love could quench the deepest thirst.

They remembered they were never here to shrink, perform or pretend.

They are simply here to love this world and to love themselves like the truest friend.

They know the ebbs and flows of life, are a journey we all go through.

Maybe you know this person, or perhaps this person is you.
