Please read the following information carefully before booking your sound therapy session. By making a booking, you confirm that you have read, understood and agreed to these terms and conditions.

If you are having a combined sound therapy and massage treatment, please ensure you’ve read my Massage Therapy Terms and Conditions

Health & Contraindications

Sound therapy is a complementary wellbeing practice designed to encourage relaxation and rest. Although it is generally a gentle experience, it may not be suitable for everyone.

For your safety and comfort, please contact me before booking if any of the following apply to you:

  • Epilepsy or a history of seizures, particularly if they can be triggered by sound, vibration or sensory stimulation.

  • Pregnancy, particularly during the first trimester. Please seek advice from your midwife or healthcare professional before attending.

  • Pacemakers or other implanted electronic medical devices. Please seek advice from your healthcare professional before booking.

  • Tinnitus, hyperacusis or sound sensitivity, as certain tones, frequencies or volume levels may aggravate your symptoms.

  • Recent surgery, significant injury or a serious medical condition, particularly if you have been advised to avoid sound, vibration or certain sensory experiences.

  • Metal implants or joint replacements, particularly if you have concerns about how sound vibrations may affect you.

  • A significant mental health condition or a history of trauma, if you feel that an immersive sound experience or deeply relaxing environment may be overwhelming or uncomfortable for you.

This list is not exhaustive. If you have any health concerns, take medication that may affect your response to sound therapy, or are unsure whether a session is suitable for you, please consult your GP or healthcare professional and contact me before booking.

Some circumstances may require adjustments to your session, while others may mean it is best to postpone.

Client Declaration

By proceeding with your booking, you confirm that:

  • You have read and understood the contraindications listed above.

  • You have disclosed any relevant medical conditions, injuries, medication, pregnancy or other health concerns that may affect your suitability for sound therapy.

  • You will inform me before your appointment if anything changes that could affect your suitability for a session.

  • You understand that it is your responsibility to provide accurate and up-to-date health information.

  • You understand that I may adapt, postpone or decline a session if I believe it is not suitable or safe for you.

I understand that sound therapy is a complementary wellbeing practice and is not intended to diagnose, treat or cure medical or mental health conditions, nor is it a substitute for professional medical care.

Your Sound Therapy Session

Your comfort and wellbeing are important throughout your session.

You are welcome to let me know if you would prefer the sound to be quieter, if you would like to change position or if you need a break at any point.

If you experience any discomfort, dizziness, anxiety, sensory overwhelm or sensitivity to the sounds, please let me know immediately. You are always welcome to ask for the session to be paused or stopped.

Everyone experiences sound differently, and there is no expectation that you need to remain still or continue if something doesn't feel right.

Payment & Booking

Payment is required in full at the time of booking to secure your appointment.

Your appointment is not confirmed until payment has been successfully received.

Cancellations & Rescheduling

I understand that plans can change, and I will always do my best to accommodate you.

My cancellation policy is:

  • Rescheduling: Appointments may be rescheduled up to 8 hours before the original appointment time, subject to availability.

  • Cancellations made less than 48 hours before the appointment are non-refundable.

  • Non-attendance: If you do not attend your appointment without prior notice, the booking payment will be non-refundable.

In exceptional circumstances, I may use my discretion to offer an alternative appointment.

  • Late Arrivals

Please arrive on time for your appointment. If you arrive late, your session may need to be shortened so that the next client's appointment can begin on time. The full session price will still apply.

If you are more than 15 minutes late without contacting me, your appointment may be treated as a non-attendance and the booking payment will be non-refundable.

Therapist's Right to Decline or Postpone a Session

For your safety, I reserve the right to decline, adapt or postpone a session if:

  • I believe sound therapy may not be suitable for you on the day.

  • You have developed a condition or illness that may make the session unsuitable.

  • You have not disclosed relevant health information.

  • You appear to be under the influence of alcohol or recreational drugs.

  • I have concerns about your comfort or wellbeing during the session.

Where appropriate, I may recommend that you seek medical advice before receiving sound therapy.

Privacy

Any personal and health information provided in connection with your booking will be treated confidentially and used only where necessary to assess your suitability for sound therapy, provide a safe and appropriate experience, manage your appointment and maintain appropriate records.
